Heartmill

This installation was a part of the exhibition “emotional tracking”, where the artists asked if it is possible to track emotions and if how can the quality be described.

You feed the Heartmill with your own heartbeats by putting ones finger in to the pink box that captures ones heartbeat, it trickers the rubber heart to pump water on a mill, when the mill turns batteries collects the energy through dynamos. When you remove your hand the mill will slowly stop beating. To charge it with more heartbeats one will have to put in the finger again.

The more excitement, the faster the heartbeat the more energy is stored in shorter amount of time.
